Here to help as your family evolves
Alyssha has been an amazing attorney, advocate, and much more throughout my child custody case. It is a new experience for me but she guided me through it. She has also taught me to open my eyes to a new experience regarding my children and what is best for them. I definitely recommend her!

Although not in title, Alyssha was the primary attorney for my dissolution and
child custody case. We were frequently in contact, mostly because I was experiencing some custody crisis with my ex, but also shortly after receiving information about my case. I never felt like I was a burden to Alyssha, because of the communication that my case demanded, even though she was working on other cases.
Of course she had my
interests at heart, as she was my representation, but also those of my 3 children who were 9, 5, and 2, respectively, when the divorce settled. If I was wading into territory that would negatively affect my kids or if I was in the wrong, with regards to a dispute about
them, with my ex, I was called on it.
Consistency was the thing that I appreciated most. Consistent with
communication. Consistent with tone and empathy… I’ve found that many who are involved with child custody issues “care,” which is meaningless because there are those who lack empathy and compassion. I know that Alyssha was invested in my children, because of her capacity for empathy, and she told me the truth, whether I wanted to hear it, or not. She is also consistent with finding an answer quickly, if she doesn’t have
it offhand, and honest about not knowing the answers when that happens.
I would love to be able to utilize Alyssha as my PC, because of her concern and
advocacy for my kids. To me, most of the people in the family court system feel like an “old boys club,” with back-alley deals that don’t serve anyone who is affected by thecase. I never felt like my kids were census numbers or dollar figures to Alyssha. Never!
She took a genuine interest in their activities, illnesses, school issues, etc., and beyond what was required for the case. It was this interest that made me less than surprised when she told me that PC and custody work is where she wanted to be.
It should be obvious by now, that I have had to bounce around to find adequate representation for me, and the three most important parts of my life. It should also be obvious by now, as to where I found that, and with whom. Again, I wish there wasn’t a conflict of interest because I would love for Alyssha to handle my case. I know that my
kids would get what they needed from both parents.
